Macronutrients are the basics of all diets! The 3 Macronutrients are Carbohydrates, Fats and Protein. If you are a bodybuilder, or doing a program to build muscle, chances are your PT will recommend a Macronutrient Diet.
Usually, Macronutrients are used as part of a calorie controlled diet. According to your BMI (Body Mass Index), you can adjust your carbs, protein and fats to suit your workout program. Meaning, if you want to build muscle, you would need to increase your protein. If you want to lose weight, you would reduce your carbs. If you are bulking, you would increase your protein and fats.
A simple Google search is all you need to do to find a huge amount of information on this topic. There are also plenty accounts to follow on Instagram and Facebook. You just need to use the hashtag #bodybuilder or #macronutrients.
There is no need to over complicate this process. You can follow a calorie controlled diet quite easily through the MyFitnessPal app. I have found this method really works. Of course, you need to eat the correct types of food too.
